LIFEVIEW®️ PDA II is a permanent online condition monitoring system for high voltage rotating machines such as motors and generators. Provides continuous monitoring of partial discharge (PD) activity acting as a true watchdog warning the operator when deviation is beyond defined limits. The additional data provided by the system allows an expert to evaluate the insulation conditions of the machinery. Designed to specifically monitor partial discharges, the LIFEVIEW PDA II is a cost-effective solution that plays an important role within the overall site maintenance program.

Unique features include; easy to understand data/results, preset warning thresholds, programmable filters and simple analog connections (4-20 mA, relays) to the SCADA or DCS system, all of which make LIFEVIEW PDA II an ideal solution for operators looking for a Effective solution, low-cost and easy-to-use PD monitoring system without complex software. The customer/operator can easily download partial discharge measurements and send them to Quartzteq experts for detailed analysis.

Depending on site requirements, the PDA II is available in two different versions:

1. PDA II IP66 version for installation in a safe area
2. PDA II ATEX version for installation in hazardous areas

Coupled to the power output bars of the generator, 3 couplers in total are installed, which together with the signal conditioning unit send information on the electrical behavior of the machine to the control unit at a maximum distance of 20 linear meters.

Depending on the communication topology, the operator can have access to said trend locally or remotely through LAN/WLAN communication.
